Set in the beautiful Brecon Beacons with wonderful views of the Black Mountains you will find the tranquil village of Trefecca, which was originally the home of Howell Haris, one of the founder members of the Methodist Church in Wales.  Set on the working sheep farm - Trefecca Farm – you will find ‘The Clock Barn’, a beautifully renovated barn which was originally the old barn where the hay was once stored and ground.  The Clock Barn is now a lovely 4 Star holiday cottage which has been lovingly renovated by the owners having the contemporary blended with the old charm of oak beams and oak style flooring throughout.  This is a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a slower pace of life.  The fully fitted kitchen, dining area with breakfast bar seating 5, is open plan, together with the lounge having a large comfy sofa, which is also a sofa bed, and comfortable armchairs, which again is open plan giving the barn such a light and spacious feel.  Ideal for enjoying family time together.  Upstairs the galleried - good sized bedroom with double bed also has a Futon which can sleep an extra two.  The Bathroom with ceramic tiled floor has a lovely corner bath with shower, perfect for a restful soak after a long day exploring the area.  Wooden garden furniture is set out in the farm courtyard area to enjoy those sunny evenings.

These delightful adjoining cottages lie in the picturesque Ithon Valley. Conveniently situated on the A483, allowing access into the heart of this unspoilt region. Originally built in the 19th century, their tasteful refurbishment retains much original character and feel of this tranquil setting whilst providing all modern amenities. Woodside Cottage has a large patio area, whilst The Old Smithy has a conservatory overlooking the river. The shared gardens extend 200 yards along the riverbank where guests enjoy private fishing rights. Otters, a kingfisher and other wildlife often visit the garden. The river is fenced but at certain times can be fast flowing - care should be taken with small children.
