Set within the most peaceful and well tended grounds of Caer Beris Holiday Park, close to the bank of the River Ithon, you will find ’Chalet 51’. This spacious timber lodge offers well equipped and comfortable accommodation for four people. The setting is beautifully rural yet very close to the town as Builth Wells is only a mile away - a few minutes in the car, or a pleasant 20 minute walk when the weather obliges. The lounge offers a large and comfortable sofa and armchair and there’s a flatscreen TV with satellite Freeview, along with a cosy flame effect fire for the chillier nights. Large picture windows which adorn its well designaed living area, not only flood the space with light but invite effortless appreciation of the beauty of the natural surroundings. The French doors open onto a large veranda across the front of the property providing an ideal spot for dining in the sunshine. The dining area has circular table and four chairs, and next to this is the kitchen, which has full size fridge and gas cooker, and a full complement of what you would expect in a kitchen. There’s a double bedroom and a twin, a bathroom with full size bath and separate WC. Outside the lodge has its own private parking space and room for a further vehicle. Pets are welcome at the site- there’s a large riverside area for dog walking and miles of footpaths nearby. There’s one ’rod’ on the river included with the rental in the fishing season. (A rod license would be required). This lodge offers a holiday with peace and relaxation - you’d be forgiven for never wanting to leave such tranquility behind.

These warm, comfortable and stylish holiday lodges are situated in the middle of glorious farm land with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside on display. Each lodge has its own private garden and hot tub, with music system and lights, to set the mood during the long summer nights and the dark starry evenings. This is a great place for walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching, pony trekking, sightseeing and visiting museums and art galleries. The lodges are located near the famous Offa’s Dyke Path and Glyndwr Way national trails, all within easy driving access. The coastal nature reserve of Ynyslas Sands and the dolphins of Cardigan Bay are within a day trip. It is less than 5 miles to the attractive Victorian spa town of Llandrindod Wells and 8 miles to the market town of Rhayader, both having an interesting array of small shops, cafés and restaurants. The stunning Elan Valley is located just a couple miles further on, where here you will find the famous red kite feeding station, Welsh Crystal Factory, cycle hire, and a myriad of other outdoor pursuits. Fishing is available by arrangement with the owner. There is also golf and horse riding within a 3 mile drive. These delightful adjoining cottages lie in the picturesque Ithon Valley. Conveniently situated on the A483, allowing access into the heart of this unspoilt region. Originally built in the 19th century, their tasteful refurbishment retains much original character and feel of this tranquil setting whilst providing all modern amenities. Woodside Cottage has a large patio area, whilst The Old Smithy has a conservatory overlooking the river. The shared gardens extend 200 yards along the riverbank where guests enjoy private fishing rights. Otters, a kingfisher and other wildlife often visit the garden. The river is fenced but at certain times can be fast flowing - care should be taken with small children.
