Find cottages in PembrokeshireVisit Pembrokeshire

Due to the Gulf Stream, Pembrokeshire has a relatively temperate climate and has been attracting holidaymakers for decades that come to enjoy the endless miles of superb beaches. From dramatic cliffs teeming with birdlife to sleepy river inlets and charming towns and villages, it's all in accessible from your very own Pembrokeshire holiday cottage.

You'll discover a county bursting with spectacular scenery, walks and wildlife, food and drink and much more.

Choose from dozens of world-class beaches, some so secluded you may have one to yourself, even in high summer! Enjoy clifftop walks above the shores or take a tranquil stroll around the many secluded inland backwaters of the Cleddau rivers.

Pop into Tenby and enjoy the famous view of the brightly painted houses that surround the harbour, or explore the town with its winding streets and many tempting shops. Why not take a short boat ride from the harbour to Caldey Island and enjoy the kind of calm that seems to emanate from its Cistercian Abbey, not to mention the aroma of the unique perfumes made by the monks who live and work there.

Get up close to seals, seabirds or spot the occasional dolphin on one of many boat trips from the harbour. You can book fishing trips, whether you are a beginner or an old hand. With many Pembrokeshire cottages based in and around this busy part of the county, it's no wonder so many visitors make it their base for exploring the region.

There's a lot for youngsters in Pembrokeshire too, like the award-winning Folly Farm Adventure Park or fun for young and old at Ritec Valley Quad Bikes near Penally. Why not catch a wave and go surfing or wind-surfing from its western beaches like Newgale or Freshwater West. Another haven of calm is St David's, where the magnificent historic Cathedral is not to be missed.

It's a county of discovery, from coastal splendour to rural calm, with pretty villages, bustling towns and magnificent beaches. There's a lot to do and many places to go, whether you choose to see it on foot, by cycle, car, bus or even by boat.

But don't take our word for it. Seek out this fascinating region for yourself from one of our selection of holiday cottages in Pembrokeshire and discover a county that's quite unlike any other, either in Wales or anywhere in the UK.

Cherry Trees Ref: CC631035
Located in Pembrokeshire’s National Coastal Park, nestled into the western banks of the Cleddau Estuary, this five bedroom, detached retreat abounds with comfort, privacy and water views. Set within half an acre of its own land it offers plenty of space for exuberant children (and adults!) to enjoy and provides the perfect setting to barbecue the catch of the day while staring down at the sparkling waters of the Cleddau and the Preseli Hills beyond. Its long drive way and car port not only provide more than ample parking but offer the opportunity to bring along a boat and trailer; while just a mile down the road, the idyllic old fishing village of Llangwm provides a convenient spot for launching any such vessel. Inside, Cherry Trees offers pristine, spacious and newly renovated accommodation to meet all needs; less mobile guests don’t just benefit from vehicular access to the front door but also a ground floor, double bedroom with en suite facilities. While its two comfortable sitting rooms offer a large family or a group of friends all the ingredients needed for cosy evenings in. With privacy, water views from many of its windows and a high standard of finish throughout, you’d be forgiven for not wanting to leave. However, with The National Geographic recently rating Pembrokeshire as the second best coastal destination in the entire world there’s a wealth of experiences and adventures to be had from the doorstep. On foot from the house, enjoy tranquil woodland walks or amble into the village of Llangwm. Existing since long before the Norman Invasion of 1066, long rows of single storey fisherman’s cottages and its ancient parish church echo its place in history. The Cottage Inn offers a varied menu and a great spot for lunches and evening meals: Events are commonplace too; from live music to vintage car meetings. This pub is the hub of community life; playing its role in the village’s festival fortnight (last week June/first week of July) when people travel from far and wide to marvel at the famous, competing scarecrows.
