These adjoining stone-built properties sit in a prominent position in in the tiny hamlet of Llangower on the south side of Llyn Tegid, the largest natural lake in Wales. With views towards the lake, the shoreline is only about 200 yards away, they provide an enchanting holiday location for those looking for a relaxing stay or ample opportunities for the more energetic. The Grade II Georgian listed Rector’s House (ref OP7) was home to the rector of the ancient chapel at Llangower which was built in the 13th-century but modernised at about the same time as the rectory was built. Retaining its character, the house catches the sun from all directions, with glimpses of the lake, valley and mountains. Rectory Cottage (ref IWA) has a romantic feel with its wood-burning stove and views. On the southern edge of Snowdonia National Park, this is an ideal place for walking, sailng or just lazing. The well-known market town of Bala is a short drive away (3 miles) where most facilities are available including serveral good pubs and restaurants, a supermarket, butcher, bakers, post office, chemist, curiosity and gift shops.
