Find cottages in CardiffVisit Cardiff

Cardiff is a vibrant and cosmopolitan city with thriving shopping areas and all the attractions that you might expect from a capital city, but you're almost certain to make a few welcome discoveries too.

As well as being Wales' political centre it's also home to a rich cultural heritage and great sporting institutions; Cardiff and the surrounding area offers holidaymakers fantastic activities and a wealth of history and heritage.

Despite a rich historic legacy, some of Cardiff's biggest attractions are fairly recent additions. The impressive Millennium Stadium really comes alive on match day and the guided tours are also available where visitors will marvel at the sheer size and scope of the home of Welsh Rugby Union. The Wales Millennium Centre is equally striking, with a variety of live shows and places to eat.

A holiday cottage in the Cardiff area is equally well suited to those looking for a little peace and quiet on their break. One of Cardiff's most popular attractions, St Fagan's open-air museum offers a great opportunity to learn a little local history while you relax and enjoy 100 acres of parkland. Similarly, Bute Park is a place to relax and unwind among stunning green scenery.

If the city's history is one of the main reasons why you're looking at staying nearby then there are more historic highlights to explore; the majestic Cardiff Castle has a city-centre location and offers a fascinating history lesson and the National Museum and Art Gallery homes the best of classical and Welsh contemporary art.

If you're ready to begin and exploration Cardiff and the surrounding area take a look at holiday cottages in Cardiff today.
