Find cottages in County ConwyVisit County Conwy

County Conwy, situated in north Wales, has a stretch of coastline that includes the iconic coastal resorts of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and Rhyl. In fact when you take a holiday cottage in County Conwy they are either on the coast or close by the coast and very handily placed for day trips to Anglesey, the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdonia; providing for the most perfect holiday in north Wales.

With an abundance of unspoiled natural beauty visitors can relax in unrivalled tranquility. Thanks to a close proximity to Snowdonia it's immensely popular with those that love the outdoors and its coastal location makes it equally well suited for those looking for great family seaside holidays.

Llandudno has been a popular coastal resort since Victorian times with its famous promenade, long pier (the longest in Wales) and elegant seafront architecture, which has largely remained unchanged over the decades. Its combination of having an excellent location and lots of things to do and see provides for the perfect family holiday by the sea.

Just a short distance along the coast is Colwyn Bay, which again proved a very popular seaside resort with the Victorians, as it is today. The seafront has undergone considerable investment with watersports center, shops and bistro providing excellent facilities to holidaymakers.

Although you'd be forgiven for choosing to simply relax on your break, there's plenty more to see and do.

Conwy Castle is probably the most notable testament to the region's rich and colourful history. Thanks to a dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia, and a well-preserved façade, it offers a truly atmospheric visitor experience and a remarkable recreation of what life must have been like in medieval Conwy. Further scenic explorations of the town's history can be found at the medieval walls and thanks to a lofty position they offer incredible views of the town, mountains and sea.

More of the town's architectural wonders can be found at Plas Mawr and the fairly self-explanatory 'Smallest House in Britain'. The former is one of the UK's finest examples of Elizabethan architecture and the latter, standing at approximately three metres by two metres, is an incredibly small residence which was once owned by a fisherman, who was as tall as the house is wide, the property is now a popular tourist attraction.

Take a look at our selection of holiday cottages in County Conwy.
