These 3 beautiful and spacious barn conversions are set on a working sheep and beef farm. The farm itself has 140 acres, and the farmland links up to the Ystwyth Cycle Trail which is over 16 miles long. The interiors of the properties have vaulted ceilings, modern lighting, and furnished with leather sofas and log-burners, each with a hot tub available. All 3 properties (refs OA5, OA6 and OA7) can be booked together to form one large house sleeping 12, and they all have interconnecting doors which can be opened up. There is also the option of taking a horse on holiday, the farm has 6 loose boxes and a paddock which can be made available. Located near Tregaron, a small Welsh-speaking market town where guests can visit the famous Rhiannon Welsh Gold Centre that offers beautiful gifts and a fantastic art gallery. Tregaron is also famous for its trotting races, which are actually held here at Dolyrychain Farm on the Sunday following the May bank holiday and also over the August bank holiday weekend each year. The event is the largest of its kind and attracts over 10,000 visitors. This is a haven for walkers and cyclists with the Cambrian Mountains at the foot of the farm and the panoramic Pumlumon Mountains to the north. Visit the university town of Aberystwyth, home of the National Library of Wales, take a walk on the promenade or even catch the electric cliff railway on Construction Hill. For a magical day out take the narrow gauge railway from Aberystwyth to the heart of the Pumlumon Mountains where the destination will be the world famous Devils Bridge and Rheidol Falls. Ideal for fishing, as there is private fly fishing 2 miles away, as well as other fishing venues close by. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Glan Gors is set in a Heritage Landscape and is a fantastic place for wildlife, bird watching and riverside walks. A bird hide, glazed from floor to ceiling, yields a cosy resting place. The 21 mile trail is a disused railway line and is now a Sustrans cycle route. It starts at Glan Gors and connects with Aberystwyth. The Red Kite Visitor Centre is nearby. The picturesque Abergwesyn mountain road through the Cambrian mountains starts in Tregaron. This will take you to the Llyn Brianne dam, 14 miles. Within easy reach are the Dolaucothi Gold Mines (National Trust) and the Elan Valley Nature Reserve and Dams. A wealth of attractions nearby include Strata Florida Abbey, Devil’s Bridge Falls, Vale of Rheidol steam railway and an array of woodland walks and hillside walking. Tregaron has a history of being a resting place for drovers since Elizabethan days and is an attractive small town with local shops, inns and restaurants. Penroc is a most delightful, cosy 400 year old Welsh stone cottage surrounded by beautiful countryside with magnificent views over the Cambrian Mountains.  It has been sympathetically refurbished by an interior designer to encompass the charm and character with modern comforts including furnishings to a very high standard.  The accommodation on the ground floor is a beautiful large open plan room having slate floors with scatter rugs and original beamed ceilings; there is a well-equipped kitchen/dining area, a cosy living area around an attractive gas burning stove and a spacious garden room with seating area and window seats in the bay picture windows – all of which have the added luxury of under-floor heating. The owners have thoughtfully provided plenty of DVDs to enjoy along with a good selection of books, puzzles and games for those relaxing evenings round the fire, or reading a good book in the window bay with Red Kites circling overhead – this will soon recharge your batteries!   As a mobile signal isn’t good in the cottage, a landline telephone is there in case of emergencies.  There are 2 bedrooms upstairs, one with a King size double bed with ‘Vi-Spring’ mattress which enjoys a very special feature of a large balcony for relaxing with a lazy breakfast or enjoying a meal surrounded by glorious views of the Ystwyth valley.  The second bedroom has twin beds and the beamed bathroom gives the usual comforts with heated towel rail and shaver point.  If you should require more bedrooms and a second bathroom, there is a connecting sound-proofed door to the adjoining cottage, as Penroc can either be booked independently or together with Ty Mari, where you can enjoy two double bedrooms and three twin bedrooms giving plenty of space for ten people, which would accommodate the gathering of family and friends.  Both cottages have adjacent gardens with glorious views. There is plenty of space to park cars, barbecue or just sit and take in the scenery. Unfortunately Penroc is not suitable for the disabled due to the accessibility.
