The University town of Aberystwyth, on Cardigan Bay, is home to the National Library of Wales, a prestigious art/theatre centre, a reconstructed Victorian Camera Obscura, and more than its share of pubs. Borth – famed for its long sandy beach, and the southern Snowdonia National Park, which has a wealth of good walking and scenic landscapes to explore, are both within a 10-mile drive.
