Beaumaris Castle is possibly the most striking man-made structure you can find on the island and perhaps the ultimate testament to this incredible 13th century castle comes from the fact that so much of it is still standing today.

Equally fascinating and a stark contrast to the comfort you'll find in a holiday cottage is Beaumaris Gaol. A sobering reminder of days gone by, the gaol makes for a fascinating visitor experience.

The view from South Stack Lighthouse comes highly recommended and if you'd like to meet some 'locals' there are few better ways to do it than at Foal Farm Park, a lovely open farm with views of Snowdonia.

With a living room as well as a cosy sitting room there is somewhere peaceful to retreat no matter how many of you there are. The views from here are absolutely stunning with a panorama of the whole of the Lleyn Peninsula and mountains in the distance. The fields surrounding the cottage are lush and green, inviting you to walk and picnic, taking advantage of the microclimate which Anglesey is known for. The farm owners are friendly and helpful and will gladly direct you on walks through and around the fields, showing you the best of all seasons. The remains of Felin Mannau windmill rise majestically from the land just a short stroll away.Wildlife is just on the doorstep with pheasants pottering about oblivious to your gaze, cattle grazing contentedly and sheep dotting the landscape.
