All of the properties we offer are carefully selected and personally inspected by our experienced regional managers. We apply a star grading system to official VisitEngland standards which guarantees consistency in our cottage ratings and ensures that you know exactly what you're getting when you book a holiday cottage.

Simply put, the more stars, the higher the level of quality. Properties in Scotland and Wales are graded to comparable standards.

You don't have to take the kitchen sink

The cottages listed at cottages4you are stocked with many of the essential items you'll need in your holiday cottage, including such items as cookers, kitchen equipment, fridges and beds. Other equipment such as freezers, washing machines/laundry facilites, cots and highchairs are available at many properties.

As a result, you only have to bring the things you really need to take. So with most of your needs catered for the only decision you need to take is how to enjoy your holiday.

Fresh linen

Don't worry about bringing fresh sheets and bed linen; most of the property owners provide linen at no extra charge - this will be stated in the property descriptions. In addition, should you need it, most properties have laundry facilities, meaning you're almost certain of a good night's sleep.

Who do I get the keys from?

Normally the keys to your property will be kept by a key holder or in a secure deposit box. When you have paid the full balance for your booking you will be sent directions to get to your holiday cottage and contact information for its owner/key holder.

There will normally be someone on hand to show you around the property and answer any questions. For this reason it is advisable to let the owner of the holiday cottage know what time you'll be arriving.
