Within easy reach are the ski slopes of the Lecht and Cairngorm, or by contrast enjoy the wonderful sandy beaches of the Moray Firth around Lossiemouth and Nairn where the famous Moray Firth dolphins can be regularly spotted. Visit the fairytale Ballindalloch Castle, 2 miles, or the ruins of Drumin Castle and its walled garden. The malt whisky trail starts close by, with Cragganmore Distillery (tours April to October) less than one mile from the house. Supermarket and deli at Aberlour, 9 miles, large supermarkets in Elgin, 25 miles, and Inverness, 47 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
