From a tour of the Glenturret Distillery, home to one of Scotland's favourite whiskies 'The Famous Grouse' to going face-to-face with more than 70 species of animals at Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre.

Get some historical insight at Crieff Visitor Centre, which also boasts an extensive garden and plant centre as well as a viewing area to watch the craft of glass making.

To the south of Crieff, you will find Drummond Castle Gardens which are over 500 years old and were used as the setting for the movie, 'Rob Roy'. A short drive away, Doune Castle, known as the location for the film 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', was originally built in the 13th century. Famously, Queen Mary of Scots stayed there on several occasions.

There are plenty of outdoor activities locally such as golf, walking, archery, horseback riding, fly fishing, and even mushroom foraging. The renowned Crieff Golf Club is known as an excellent course and will provide a friendly reception to visitors. One of the most popular hill walks in Scotland is The Knock Climb, with excellent views over the town and surrounding area.

Avonlea is a delightful semi-detached property, tastefully furnished to a Visit Scotland 4* standard and located in the heart of the charming market town of Crieff in Perthshire.  Accommodation is provided over two floors, with an open plan living space downstairs and two bedrooms upstairs. The lounge has a lovely cosy living flame effect gas fire, two leather sofas and a great selection of DVD’s, games and books. This property is well appointed and equipped with all you would require to enjoy your holiday – there is even a set of golf clubs!  Although this property does not have a garden space there is ample internal storage space for outdoor equipment and clothing. A small lane runs along the side of the cottage providing access to the back of the property and a small yard.  From Avonlea it is only a short stroll down to the town centre where there is a good selection of excellent pubs, restaurants, cafes with great baking and interesting local shops to meander through.
