From the front door you have an uninterrupted view over the loch to the Southern Highland Mountains and Edinample Castle once occupied by ‘Black’ Duncan of Glenorchy.  Located on the edge of the village of Lochearnhead, Kintyre Cottage is situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and is in a perfect central location to tour in each direction. The village of Lochearnhead has a shop and Post Office and two hotels with restaurant facilities, both within walking distance. Set in 6 acres of farmland, Kintyre Cottage is semi-detached timber clad property on the end of a stone barn conversion. This compact and cosy cottage is ideal for a couple.  The open plan living space has a galley style kitchen and lounge area with a wonderful wood burning stove that warms the whole room. The dining area is situated at the window where you can enjoy the view over the loch. Kintyre Cottage can be booked along with Mull Lodge to provide accommodation for up to 6 people.  From the cottage you are welcome to venture freely where you will be able to spot red deer or to feed the hens and even get some freshly laid eggs. The cottage has the use of a jetty (a mooring is available if required) and you can hire a boat locally. Fishing is free to residents from the foreshore. Loch Earn is 6.5 miles long and is a popular area for water sports and fishing with stunning scenery all around.
