Find cottages in GairlochVisit Gairloch

Gairloch is perfectly located for exploring the North West Highlands and is surrounded by the magnificent scenery of Wester Ross.

There's a real sense of space in Gairloch and with beautiful beaches, rocky coastline and a backdrop of majestic mountains, it's easy to see why so many people choose to holiday here. You can take your pick from the many sandy beaches in the area, including the aptly named Big Sand, which is accessed through extensive sand dunes and is well sheltered from any winds and Redpoint beach which has the most spectacular views out to the Western Isles and is the perfect spot for a picnic or simply to enjoy the sun setting over the Hebrides.

Gairloch has a nine hole golf course which is open to visitors and provides the opportunity to play in beautiful surroundings; the clubhouse also serves up snacks and lunches if you're feeling hungry. Head to the Gairloch Marine Life Centre for loch and sea cruises, as well as an extensive local wildlife information centre. Cruising out in to the Loch, you'll discover the breathtaking coastline of Gairloch while getting close to common and grey seals in their natural habitat. You may also be rewarded with a glimpse of minke whales, dolphins and bird colonies.

The Gairloch Heritage Museum is great for a rainy day, taking you on a journey through time. Be inspired by this wonderfully diverse area and search for Gairloch holiday cottages today.
