Find cottages in BroraVisit Brora

The village of Brora, on the east Sutherland coast, is well placed for a relaxing break by the sea and wonderful days out exploring the remote and dramatically beautiful Northern Highlands.

Wake up to the sound of seabirds and beautiful coastal scenery before you set off to explore by car, on foot, by bike or even horseback; the countryside here is unique, follow the coast road north into Caithness to the tip of Scotland or south to the lovely town of Dornoch. Inland stretches miles of empty roads, dramatic mountains and beautiful lochs.

Back in town Brora has a clean sandy beach and is a great spot for catching sight of dolphins, seals and maybe even minke whales. Walk from Brora to Golspie and take in the beautiful views, enjoy a round (or two) of golf; Brora has a golf course as does Golspie and there is a championship course at Dornoch. Try a spot of fishing on Loch Brora or explore the magnificent Dunrobin Castle and Gardens.

The Clynelish Distillery is the perfect place to go if you fancy a wee dram, or you could head for Brora Beach and try your hand at surfing or just enjoy a beach picnic on a sunny day.

Brora is remote enough to be unspoiled and charming, yet close to all the attractions of the area. Search our range of Brora holiday cottages today for your break in the Northern Highlands.
