Aviemore, in the Highlands of Scotland, is an adventure playground, and from skiers and mountain bikers to naturalists and walkers, this beautiful area caters for everyone, no matter what your ability. At every corner you turn you'll be surrounded by immense scenery; imposing mountains, wild craggy uplands and snowy ski peaks.

In and around Aviemore you'll find plenty of activity centres offering a taste of both the wild and the mild side of life. Get the whole family wet with family rafting, kayaking or gorge swimming while back on dry land, try your hand at clay shooting, archery and quad biking along forest and moorland tracks. For a more relaxed way of exploring the area, why not hop on-board the Mountain Railway or Strathspey Steam Railway. Treat the kids to a wildlife tour and get up close to birds of prey and Highland wildlife, or head to The Fun House and experience the ultimate family day out!

No trip to Aviemore would be complete without a tour of the brewery to sample some of the finest Highland beers, and the Speyside Cooperage also offers a wonderful insight into the production of oak casks.

There's so much on offer in this wonderful area, start your discovery and search Aviemore holiday cottages today.
