There are many other great walks for all abilities. Trout and salmon fishing (permit only) can be arranged on the Rivers Avon and Spey. There is a 9-hole 18-tee golf course 1 mile away at Ballindalloch with superb courses at Grantown-on-Spey, Nairn and Lossiemouth less than an hour away. Wildlife enthusiasts will have a chance to see the famous ospreys at Boat of Garten and Moray Firth dolphins. Otters are often seen at Loch Spynie and golden eagles in the Findhorn Valley. The surrounding pinewoods are home to red squirrels, crossbills and crested tits. Visit the fairytale Ballindalloch Castle (2 miles) or the ruins of Drumin Castle and its walled garden.
