This luxury self catering cottage offers roomy, beautifully appointed accommodation for up to six people. The location is outstanding, providing peace, tranquility and fantastic views. On the edge of idyllic wooded parkland, the cottage is totally private. Mid Lodge is newly refurbished to a standard and quality befitting stunning Hopetoun. The accommodation is very spacious, yet comfortable and convenient with sitting room, dining-kitchen and three twin bedrooms. You might be tempted never to leave the Mid Lodge, but immediately out of doors are lovely woodland walks, cycle paths and the splendid Hopetoun House Stately Home all waiting to be explored (all guests receive a complimentary visit to Hopetoun House and free access to the House grounds during opening hours). While you are staying in this luxury cottage you can also have access to a wide range of pre-bookable activities within the estate, including clay shooting, simulated game shooting and arrangements can also be made for archery and quad biking.Events at Hopetoun House in 2014-2015
Saturday 1st November 2014 – Our annual Fireworks display. The cottage will receive free tickets for this event. Mid Lodge may be affected due to the Deer park being used as a car park on the Saturday, from 4pm – 8/9pm.
17th May 2015– Race for Life. Run in aid of cancer research goes through the estate, may have some traffic restrictions for the cottage (just the Sunday).
29th May 2015 – 31st May 2015. Carriage Driving. Quite a big event and obtrusive to Mid Lodge guests as there are lots of horses and carriages all dressed up in the Deep park for a few days.
Thursday 17th July – Sunday 20th July – Grass roots event (mini horse trials). Small horse trials event. It may be intrusive for Mid Lodge guests.
For these events listed the guests will receive free admission
. However, for the events at the house- such as: Wedding fairs, Christmas fair, shows etc, they will not receive free entry into these.
Ground Floor: The accommodation is all on ground floor level has oil central heating and comprises:
Lounge: with open fire, TV, DVD and views across the deer park
Kitchen / diner: with electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge / freezer (with ice dispenser), dishwasher, washer / dryer, dining table and chairs, sofa and wall-mounted TV. Day bed (for +1 by arrangement) in hallway leading from kitchen.
Bedroom 1: with two single beds, ipod docking station

Shower room: with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin
Bathroom: with bath, shower cubicle, WC and wash basin
All fuel and power included. Bed linen and towels supplied. Travel cot & highchair available by request. Fire guard provided.Enclosed garden with furniture, BBQ (coals not included). Dogs welcome (must be keep on a lead at all times - livestock in surrounding area). All guests receive a complimentary visit to Hopetoun House and free access to the house grounds during opening hours (Hopetoun House is open from Good Friday to the last weekend in September). Visitors also have easy access to many pre-bookable activities which take place at Hopetoun including clay shooting, simulated game shooting and arrangements can also be made for archery and quad biking on the estate and there is a golf course nearby. Off road parking for 4 cars.
