Set off the south Ayrshire coast it tells the tale of the Kennedys, one of Scotland's most famous families, whose history can be traced back to Robert the Bruce. Culzean still contains the family's trophies; the house and stunning grounds, stand as magnificent tributes to its heritage.

Robert Burns is probably Ayrshire's most famous former resident and one of Scotland's favourite sons. The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum in the village of Alloway is a fascinating tribute and a great visitor attraction in its own right. The nearby Burns Monument and Gardens prove an equally popular tribute and offer a fantastic opportunity to brush up on Scottish culture and history while admiring your idyllic surroundings.

Dean Castle and Country Park is undoubtedly one of the region's best-kept secrets. Explore the castle's fascinating history before taking a leisurely stroll in the grounds and enjoy a host of activities in the 200 acre park. You can even bring the dog!

It forms part of a courtyard yet has privacy from the rest of the farm steading. Recently renovated the interior is fresh and modern, however, there is evidence of its past with the old stone fireplace surround in the kitchen still visible today. The entrance opens straight into the lounge/dining area which then leads off into the gallery style kitchen. On the first floor there are two good sized, beautifully coordinated, twin bedrooms, both have zip and link beds which can be made up into super king beds on request. All the main rooms within the cottage have the most fantastic views out to sea and the islands beyond. The farm comprises two and a half thousand acres which guests are free to explore. The hillside location makes an ideal spot to watch the comings and goings of the many boats, ships, ferries and submarines which pass regularly through the Firth of Clyde. A 5 minute stroll leads down to the sea front.
