In a stunning setting with direct access to Loch Awe this spacious detached property is set in its own 21/2 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Acclaimed as one of Scotland’s most picturesque lochs, Loch Awe is surrounded by high mountains, and its calm waters are dotted with wooded islands, many with castles which recall the turbulent history of Argyll and its clans. The grounds are perfect for a peaceful and relaxed holiday and the external games room is ideal for guests with young families. There is good fishing and excellent walking can be enjoyed locally with many fine forest walks also suitable for cycling. May and June are a riot of colour with a variety of spectacular rhododendruns and there is much to interest the naturalist and bird-watcher. Argyllshire’s annual gathering takes place in August, featuring piping competitions and Highland games. The Oban Sea Life centre, Cruachan Hollow Mountain and Bonawe Iron Works can all be found nearby. Ideal base for visiting the Isles

Esplanade Court is situated in a particularly superb location overlooking Oban Bay, on the lovely west coast of Scotland. The holiday apartments have qualified for the STB 4 Star rating. They are equipped and furnished to a good standard with each one having a panoramic view over the bay and out to the isles of Kerrera, Mull and Lismore. Oban is a lively west coast town with lots going on for the visitor. It is central for touring the west coast, or take a boat trip to the above islands and Iona which leave daily. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan which is 1½ miles away. There are some very good restaurants in which to eat dinner in the evening, after maybe a days climbing, walking or enjoying some of the wonderful animal and plant life which the west highlands has to offer. Now tastefully renovated into comfortable holiday accommodation for a couple, the cottage has wooden floors throughout, a double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a spacious open plan living space with kitchen, dining and seating area.  There are also two single chairs in the lounge area which convert into single beds to provide additional sleeping space for a further two people.  The cottage also has its own enclosed gravel garden area and off street parking.  Ardentinny is situated within Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and next to Argyll Forest which offers numerous forest tracks, marked walks and cycleways within this area, all easily accessible and right on your doorstep. The cottage has the additional benefit that it is only a short walk (200 yards) to gain access to the seafront where you can walk, fish, launch a canoe or just rest on the rocks, relax and enjoy the view.
