Tighnabruaich is a lovely little village on the banks of Loch Fyne and the shores of the Kyles of Bute, facing out towards the beautiful Isle of Bute. The village has an intimate community that welcomes tourists with open arms and includes a popular yachting and sailing school and well signposted cycling and walking trails.

It's only 90 minutes from Glasgow yet known as the gem of Argyll's 'Secret Coast'. This magnificent coastal region boasts islands and shimmering sea lochs, rolling hills and glens and an intriguing history.

Ramble through the wilderness of the Kilmartin Glen with its prehistoric monuments and superb Bronze Age remains, or take an atmospheric walk through Puck's Glen, crisscrossed with ancient bridges and tumbling burns.

Between the villages of Tighnabruaich, Kames and mainland Argyll is the passageway known as the Kyles of Bute. The views here are spectacular, taking in the myriad waterways, the steep hills rising from them and the scenic roads that approach Tighnabruaich; popular with fisherman and sailors, the village acts as a stopover on the way to the highlands.

There are several traditional Scottish pubs and restaurants, so if you don't get a chance to venture to the nearby islands, you can sample some of the famous local whisky after a round of hillside golf.

Up stairs has three further bedrooms all with loch views. The shoreline is accessed via the other side of the quiet country lane and a canoe/kayak can be easily launched from here. A boat mooring is available on request to the owner and boats can be launched locally.

The croft is set within approximately 14 acres of rugged ground, with some machinery stored on it, unfenced to the shoreline and a river runs passed the cottage, so children would need to be supervised at all times. The croft is no longer worked but the owners may on occasions visit their static caravan.
