Upstairs has a further three bedrooms all with sea views - one twin and two double (one with en suite) plus the main bathroom. The house has off road parking and a large grassy enclosed garden. The  neighbours have hens who love to be fed, so you may be lucky and get a wonderful freshly laid egg or two during your stay! The seafront can be accessed just across the road from the house, where you can fish from the shoreline, or a canoe/kayak could be easily launched. The wildlife locally is fantastic, you could see a variety of bird life, otters have been spotted in the area. Seals are also visitors, as are the gannets which are fabulous to watch dive for their supper. Set on the edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, the cottage is situated within the grounds of a private owner occupied caravan park. The flat has a wonderful outlook, meaning you can sit back, relax and enjoy the view and catch glimpses of the wildlife outside from swans to grey seals or even dolphins. Watch the ferries and yachts passing by in ever changing sea conditions. You can travel here by car, over the "Rest & Be Thankful" or take ferry crossings from Gourock. Alternatively, if you have no car you can still easily access Dunoon via train from Glasgow to Gourock and be picked up from either of Dunoon’s ferries.

Rowan Cottage is a lovely newly refurbished detached property which sits on the hillside overlooking Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde, near Dunoon.   Set on the edge of the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, the cottage is one of four situated within a small holiday development with ample outdoor activities available. Internally, Rowan is spacious, comfortable and cosy.  On the ground floor there is an open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with a wood burning stove, with feature glass hearth.  There is also a shower room and separate toilet and a double bedroom downstairs. Large patio doors leading out onto a deck with magnificent views over the sea and hills beyond and complete with garden furniture.  There is access to a barbecue area in the open plan/shared garden surrounding the cottages.  Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms; one family room with a double and single bed, the second room is a single, both rooms have coombed ceilings. Rowan Cottage can be booked along with Alder Cottage to provide accommodation for up to 12 people.

All electricity, bed linen and first basket of wood for stove included. Cot and highchair available on requestDecked area with outdoor seating and view out to sea.  Large shared open garden with communal BBQ.  Dogs welcome but to be kept on a lead at all times.  Shared use of on-site facilities including Wi-Fi, pool table and VisitScotland 5* outdoor activities including quad biking, clay shooting and archery.  Free shared use of washing machine and tumble dryer. Views over the Holy Loch and Firth of Clyde with direct access into the Argyll Forest.
