These two semi-detached holiday cottages are situated approximately 1 mile off the public road up a private drive, next to the owners’ home and small working farm in a very quiet, peaceful location, which is ideal for secluded retreats or as a central touring base to explore Dumfries & Galloway. The cottages are similar in style and design and Myrtle Cottage (ref 28177) is a restored barn conversion consisting of a traditional granite byre with an architect designed larch clad extension featuring a welcoming woodburner. They are located near the Solway Coast and close to the world-class ‘7 Stanes’ mountain bike facility at nearby Dalbeattie, 10 minutes’ drive. Also in the vicinity is the Galloway Forest Park which is one of just a handful of ‘Dark Sky Parks’ in the western world in recognition of spectacular sightings of the starry skies it affords. The region’s capital, Dumfries, is a 25 minute drive, and is known for its links with Robert Burns; visitors may explore his house, sample a dram in Burns’ favourite hostelry - The Globe Inn, or find out more about him at the Robert Burns Centre. Other nearby areas of interest are Colvend Golf Course and Southerness Golf Course, both 10 minutes away, and horse riding facilities at Barend Riding School at Sandyhills, just 5 minutes’ drive. Ideal base for visiting the Isles

Esplanade Court is situated in a particularly superb location overlooking Oban Bay, on the lovely west coast of Scotland. The holiday apartments have qualified for the STB 4 Star rating. They are equipped and furnished to a good standard with each one having a panoramic view over the bay and out to the isles of Kerrera, Mull and Lismore. Oban is a lively west coast town with lots going on for the visitor. It is central for touring the west coast, or take a boat trip to the above islands and Iona which leave daily. There is a lovely sandy beach at Ganavan which is 1½ miles away. There are some very good restaurants in which to eat dinner in the evening, after maybe a days climbing, walking or enjoying some of the wonderful animal and plant life which the west highlands has to offer. "Stunning cottages in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park..."

Situated in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park, these stunning holiday properties have been lovingly restored and furnished to provide wonderful retreats. Auchendennan Farm Cottage (SLLX) is a single-storey holiday cottage; within the house there is a large family sauna which can be used as an ideal way to unwind. Outside on the sun decking, there is a sunken hot tub which is large enough for all the family and powerful enough to give tired muscles a proper massage. Rose Cottage (SRRG) is a single-storey conversion adjoining the owner’s farmhouse. Combining modern and traditional furnishings, the property boasts a superb hot tub and external sun decked area for relaxing and unwinding. Burnbeag (SVVE) is a stunning, detached cottage to the rear of the steadings and has a stream running through its private enclosed garden, which has a decked area, pond/fountain feature and hot tub. In summer, Loch Lomond’s ancient oak woods ring with birdsong. Look out for redstarts, pied flycatchers and wood warblers. Ospreys are summer visitors to the loch and nearby Lake of Menteith. In the high country of Breadalbane, golden eagles may be seen soaring over mountain slopes richly carpeted in alpine plants. Watch out for porpoises and seals and glimpse Loch Lomond’s herd of fallow deer as they bound through the trees. Loch Lomond and Loch Earn are some of Scotland’s prime venues for sailing and water-skiing, while the rivers Balvaig and Teith are popular with canoeists. The Teith is also a great salmon river and one of many places popular with anglers. For golfing enthusiasts, the famous courses of Loch Lomond are just a short distance from the property, with an abundance of courses for all standards within easy reach.
Walking is a popular pursuit, from gentle low-level strolls to strenuous mountain climbs. Ben Lomond, Ben Lui, Ben Ime and Ben Vorlich are among the 21 Munros (mountains over 3000 feet). The West Highland Way stretches from the edge of Glasgow to Fort William, hugging the banks of Loch Lomond and passing through the spectacular mountain scenery of Strathfillan. There are great opportunities for cycling on and off road on National Cycle Network Route 7, which passes through the National Park from Balloch to Killin. Cameron House, the 5 star golf/spa resort is just minutes from the property where one can enjoy fine dining, day spa packages and championship golf. Lomond Shores, again a short distance from the property, offers designer shopping, loch cruises and an aquarium. Glamis Court is a lovely first floor apartment set in the grounds of the world renowned Gleneagles Hotel in Perthshire.  It is positioned within a block of four nestled in a peaceful cul-be-sac located only a short stroll away from the hotel itself.  Glamis Court offers comfortable accommodation for four people in a spectacular location for exploring Perthshire. There are two bedrooms, the master room has a king-sized bed and the second bedroom has two single beds.
The lounge has a comfortable leather suite and French doors lead to a Juliet balcony. The modern kitchen is fully fitted with breakfasting bar and four high dining stools. The grounds immediately surrounding the apartment are open and grassy with wonderful mature Scots pine trees.  Deer are often seen strolling around and you may also see red squirrels.  This is a golfers paradise with four 18-hole courses right on the door step – the King’s, the Queen’s, PGA Centenary (the venue for the 40th Ryder Cup in 2014) and Auchterarder courses, plus a number of 9-hole courses in the surrounding area.  Auchterarder village is less than two miles away and it has a good selection of shops, bars and eateries to offer.  However, you may like to treat yourself to a very special dining experience at Andrew Fairlie @ Gleneagles; he has 2 Michelin stars and 4 AA rosettes. There is something to interest everyone in Perthshire. Perth itself is only a half hour drive North.  It has a large selection of shops, eateries, leisure facilities, cinema and theatre.  There are many historical places of interest in this area such as the Ardoch Roman Fort, Ardunie Roman Signal Station and Blackhill Camp Roman site.  Stirling lies to the South; it is only a half hour drive away and also provides many places of historical interest to visit from Stirling Castle to Wallace Monument. Blair Drummond Safari Park is also near to Stirling and is a great day out for the family. There is the Famous Grouse Experience at Glenturret Distillery, Crieff and Tullibardine Distillery; Blackford is only a few miles south from Gleneagles, which also has the wonderful Baxters experience retail outlet. Drummond Gardens at Muthill is a must to visit during the summer months with its stunning formal planting.  There is fishing available in the River Earn as well as on a number of lochs such as Loch Earn and Loch Tay.  The Ochil Hills are gentle and rolling in this part of Perthshire and Ben Chonzie is an easy Munro to ’bagged’. Glamis Court at Gleneagles makes a great base to stay and explore all that stunning Perthshire has to offer.

A perfect base for a peaceful country holiday, the cottages of Abbey Court, the individual character of the Coach House properties and the spacious apartments located within Whitmuir Hall itself, offer a range of accommodation for all tastes, seasons and party sizes. Recreational possibilities include: 21 golf courses included in the Freedom of the Fairways Passport; walking, whether gently through woods and alongside rivers and towns, or on the more challenging Southern Upland and St Cuthbert’s Ways; cycling for all abilities on quiet local roads, on the many great cycle routes nearby or try some downhill trails at Glentress Forest, Peebles (cycle store available at the properties); or have fun on their Go Ape tree top adventure course; fishing for salmon and trout on the River Tweed and its tributaries, or on stocked lochs for trout and coarse fish.
