Ghost tours take place every night around the old alleys and snickleways. The capital of the Wolds is Beverley which featured in the top ten most beautiful market towns and is set in the Westwood Stray, also featuring a racecourse and a beautiful Gothic minster in the heart of the town. The village has two pubs, banks, a post office and newsagent, a children’s play park, a delicatessen, and a bus service to York every 10 - 15 minutes. The North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway runs through spectacular countryside through Newton Dale from Pickering to Whitby.
