The Glen sits between the Galtee Mountains on the south and the Slievenamuck Ridge on the north and contains many prehistoric and early Christian sites of interest, including the holy wells of St Pecaun’s, Berriherts and Sedna’s. The Galtees, Ireland’s highest inland mountain range, boast five spectactular corrie lakes, dominated by a variety of magnificent peaks including Galteemore at 3,018ft. This expansive vista is further enhanced by the many streams cascading down the face of the mountain.
