This 100-year-old renovated cottage is situated on the Beara Peninsula at the foot of the spectacular Healy Pass, one of the most beautiful mountain roads in Ireland. Untouched by noise or traffic, the cosy cottage retains the original floorboards in the bedrooms, while the wooden settle takes pride of place beside the woodburning stove. Beara is an area of great scenic beauty which has the Beara Way walking route, a wealth of archaeological sites and delightful colourful villages. The West Cork Sailing and Powerboating centre is close by, where you can have intensive training or simply kayak or canoe around Adrigole Harbour. Glengarriff with its Nature Reserve and Garnish Island Gardens is 12 miles. There are excellent touring possibilities in Cork and Kerry; Bantry and Kenmare are both approximately 20 miles.
