This lovely traditional Irish cottage, built in the 1780s and adjacent to the owner’s home, is situated in the peaceful Glenmalure valley. A stunning waterfall cascades to the rear, the start of the well-established ’Zig-Zag’ walk begins beside this holiday cottage. The walk takes you up to Lugnaquilla mountain, the 3rd largest in Ireland. It offers a great retreat and is perfect for hill walkers who can pick up the Wicklow Way at the Glenmalure Lodge, 1 mile. There are plenty of walks in the locality to suit all abilities, horse riding in Anamoe, golf, mountain biking and wildlife to be seen. Historic Glendalough is only 8 miles in Laragh and Dublin can be reached within an hour. Greenane Maze is great for children, and after a long walk, relax in the Glenmalure Lodge for great local food and music. Shops, pubs and restaurant 1 mile.

Accessed via a rough track, it is set on a working sheep farm, and is over 100 years old. It has been restored to a very good standard; a large open fire makes it cosy and welcoming. The Wicklow Way passes by the cottage and is ideal for hill walkers - ending up in the Glenmalure Lodge for great food and music. Horse riding in Annamoe. Avoca (home of Ballykissangel) is about 9 miles, Glenmalure Golf Club is about 4 miles, Greenane Maze is great fun for children and the historic Glendalough is about 6 miles. Dublin is under 1 hour’s drive. Shops, pubs and restaurant 0.6 miles.
