St. Declan founded Ireland’s earliest Christian settlement in Ardmore, and the village has many fascinating historic relics including an ancient well, ruined church and graveyard. A short walk down the hill brings you to the village centre with its golden beach, fishing harbour, famous pottery studio plus the shops and pubs. There is a wonderful cliff walk complete with breath taking views and a ship wreck. The surrounding countryside is glorious with pretty coves and beaches in abundance, and the forests and lakes of the Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains are within 25 miles.
