These charming, terraced holiday cottages are within strolling distance of the medieval walled town of Fethard, with its many pubs, restaurants and shops. Knockelly Castle, a fortified tower house, is just one of the many historical buildings in the area, and for horse enthusiasts, Fethard is home to the internationally recognised Coolmore Stud.
Hill walking is plentiful, with stunning Slievenamon Mountain, where at the summit ancient burial cairns can be viewed, the highest of which is said to mark the entrance to the mysterious Celtic underworld.
The whole area is steeped in history and folklore, and with the town and its amenities on the doorstep, this property offers an interesting base from which to explore all that Tipperary has to offer. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

This quaint, detached holiday cottage lies on the edge of the picturesque riverside village of Newcastle, with a backdrop of the Knockmealdown Mountains. This former village shop has retained much of its character, with the original shop door and high ceiling in the living room whilst the seating area to the front offers a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. This scenic area offers a lovely base from which to tour the surrounding area. Visit historic Cahir, 10 miles, which boasts one of Ireland’s largest and best preserved castles and is host to the annual Bru Borus Traditional Irish Festival (June to August). Other places to visit include the magnificent Mount Mellerary Abbey and Heritage Centre, 7 miles, and Mitcheltowns Caves, 15 miles, which are often considered to be the most spectacular caves in Europe.
