These charming, terraced holiday cottages are within strolling distance of the medieval walled town of Fethard, with its many pubs, restaurants and shops. Knockelly Castle, a fortified tower house, is just one of the many historical buildings in the area, and for horse enthusiasts, Fethard is home to the internationally recognised Coolmore Stud.
Hill walking is plentiful, with stunning Slievenamon Mountain, where at the summit ancient burial cairns can be viewed, the highest of which is said to mark the entrance to the mysterious Celtic underworld.
The whole area is steeped in history and folklore, and with the town and its amenities on the doorstep, this property offers an interesting base from which to explore all that Tipperary has to offer. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

There is a private courtyard and garden attached but guests are also welcome to wander through the owners’ 100-acres and make free use of the putting green, soccer pitch and river fishing. The owners have a ’theatre’ where regular concerts and theatrical performances with top artists are held. In addition, workshops are held in creative writing and dance, and guests can sample the ’Magic under the Mountain’ weekends. Traditional music pubs are a short drive as are the Rock of Cashel.
