Located on the Wild Atlantic Way route, the colourful little village of Portmagee offers a selection of traditional pubs, craft shops and restaurants. This area abounds with glorious scenery and some fantastic archaeological sites, not least the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the monastic settlement on the Skellig Islands which can reached by boat. St. Finian’s Bay beach, 6 miles, is a mecca for surfers, and also is home to a chocolate factory. The golden sands of Ballinskelligs beach is 10 miles. Explore beautiful Valentia Island, reached by the nearby land bridge. Beach 6 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.

This holiday cottage, adjoining the owner’s home, is 1.3 miles from the picturesque fishing village of Portmagee, which was awarded Tourist Village of the Year 2012. It is located on the Great Atlantic Way, with free access to Kerry Cliffs. The local pubs have regular traditional music and Irish set dancing sessions. Patty’s Cottage is comfortable and inviting, with a woodburner and TVs in all bedrooms. Guests can also enjoy the beautiful sea views from the large, private seating area. The cottage is just half a mile from a small beach, 4 miles from a great surfing beach and spectacular cliffs a short stroll away. Opportunities for golf, horse riding, fishing and boat trips are all available locally. Take a short voyage to the breathtaking Skellig Islands, or sample the wares at the local chocolate factory. Shop, pub and restaurant 1.3 miles.
