It is ideal for a relaxing break as the spa boasts an indoor heated swimming pool, as well as a fitness suite (both complimentary to all lodge residents) and offers 60 different therapy treatments including hydrotherapy, all at extra charge.
For golf lovers, the resort has its own golf club which was home to the Irish open in 2001 and 2002, and offers outstanding facilities including a magnificent 27 hole championship golf course and a ’state of the art’ Golf Academy with resident PGA professionals who can be booked for private tuition. The area boasts many historic attractions including the Titanic Museum at Cobh, the Jameson Whiskey Heritage Centre and a visit to Blarney Castle with the world famous Blarney Stone is highly recommended.
East Cork has a wealth of golden beaches, rocky coves with fishing and sailing harbours including the historic, and extremely picturesque, town of Kinsale which is 15 miles. Boat trips, horse riding and fishing are all available locally. The hotel has two excellent restaurants and a bar which serves food.
