Ideal touring base

Manche

Just 400m from a beautiful sandy beach and only 30km from Cherbourg, this pair of adjoining holiday cottages (refs W14892 and W15236) is ideal for families. Each cottage opens onto its own pretty, enclosed garden. The properties make a great base for a relaxing holiday, and for those who enjoy walking and cycling. Located in a small hamlet, with horse riding, sailing and golf locally.

St. Vaast, famous for its seafood and lovely harbour is just 6km away. The Pointe de Barfleur with its wild coast is a similar distance. Historical Valognes, once called ‘the Versailles of Normandy’ with its 17th-century houses is 20km away, as is Utah Beach, with its museum.

Sainte Mère Eglise, and the medieval castle of Bricquebec are 30km, while at 70km you will find the other D-Day landing beaches including Omaha Beach, as well as the Pointe du Hoc and Bayeux with its medieval cathedral and the famous 11th-century tapestry. Cherbourg with its old town, nightlife and pedestrianised shopping area is also 30km.
