Ideal touring base

Hérault

These terraced holiday properties are situated on a complex and all have air conditioning and their own outdoor swimming pools (except ref FLH152 which has a hot tub). The complex is located in the town of Castries which has a 17th-century aqueduct. The city of Montpellier is just 16km and has many attractions, including the Place de la Comédie, a botanical garden, 14th-century cathedral, zoo, aquarium and Amazonian greenhouse.

The popular seaside resort of La Grande-Motte is 32km away, with its beaches, port, water park and watersports.

Spend the day in Nîmes, 47km, with its Roman history. Attractions here include a Roman amphitheatre, a Roman temple and the Pont du Gard, a Roman aqueduct. Further afield is Avignon, 86km, which includes attractions such as the Palais des Papes, which is the largest Gothic palace in the world, a 12th-century cathedral and a variety of museums.
