A three-storey, stone-built, typical Charentais farmhouse with generous room sizes and high ceilings, a large feature fireplace (decorative only) and an abundance of exposed oak beams.

There is a courtyard to the front of the holiday home; to the rear are large, mainly lawned, fully enclosed gardens with an outdoor swimming pool (9m x 3.8m, depth 0.9 to 1.75m), and patio area with built-in barbecue.

A short walk across the fields (approximately 300m) will lead you to the private fishing lake. The famous writers village of Montmoreau where you will find all facilities and a public swimming pool is approximately 4km. The château of Villebois, the beautiful village of Aubeterre with lakeside beach and the busy market town of Ribérac are all within 20km. For the more adventurous take a day trip to Bordeaux and the Atlantic Ocean. Fly via Bergerac (82km) or Bordeaux (115km).

The sea and the lovely sandy beach at Meschers-sur-Gironde can be reached within an hour, or the resort at Royan is another 10km up the coast. Try also to visit Cognac, 40kms, where you can see its famous distilleries. The historic city of La Rochelle is just over an hour away and well worth a visit.
