This detached and very spacious holiday home features a large conservatory and a private outdoor swimming pool (72m², open mid May-Sep). The property is situated in an elevated position on the edge of a peaceful village, and is within 500m of the river, baker and post office. The gardens and lawns are very attractive, with many shrubs, walnut trees and a fish pond. There are good walks from the doorstep, and just 8km away is Villebois-Lavalette, with its weekly market, supermarket and cafés.

Its position on the Dordogne/Charente border makes for easy access to many historic towns and villages, including Mareuil, 9km, with its château, restaurants, shops and bank, Brantôme, 28km, with canoe hire, riverside restaurants and a Friday market, Riberac and Angoulême, 29km.

There is a lake at Saint-Estèphe, 34km, with beach, children’s play areas and woodland. Périgueux, 55km, is a cathedral city with all facilities, and is well worth a visit. This is an excellent choice for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in a very pretty area.
