Higher Laity Farm is set in a peaceful rural location, on a working dairy and cattle farm. The three barns (refs 29750, 29751 and 29752) have been renovated to a very good standard and are managed by the owners. It is ideally situated to take advantage of both the spectacular rugged north coast being just a few minutes’ drive from the popular surfing beaches of Portreath and Porthtowan. Porthowan is a delightful cove, famous for its bar on the beach which provides good food and a regular music entertainment programme, popular with locals and surfers alike. For those wishing to explore on foot or cycling, the Mineral Tramways Coastal Path runs from North Portreath on the north coast to Devoran on the south coast, providing spectacular scenery. Cornwall’s heritage can be seen, with old engine houses dotted around the landscape and there is abundance of wildlife, including jackdaws, birds of prey, and cormorants. At sea, dolphins, basking sharks, seals and even whales can be seen. Just a few minutes’ drive away, is Tehiddy Country Park, a tranquil 250-acre site with woodlands, lakes, cycle trails, nature paths and the impressive golf course.
