Find cottages in FileyVisit Filey

Filey has been a popular seaside resort since the Victorian era, attracting visitors with its long sandy beach and restful atmosphere.

Filey's beach is a five mile stretch of unspoilt golden sand, lined with an historic promenade and sculpture trail. The promenade offers a beautiful view of the dramatic Filey Brigg and pony rides and sailing lessons are available on the beach.

The town marks the end of the Cleveland Way, a 109 mile walk around some of the most beautiful parts of Yorkshire and a holiday cottage here could provide the ideal way to relax and recuperate after tackling the ever-changing landscape of this National Trail. Alternatively it could simply provide a delightful break in a traditional seaside town with award winning gardens and a elegant crescent.

Filey Brigg has some great rock pools to explore with the kids or you could also head over to the Filey Dams Nature Reserve where bird watchers are well catered for with two hides. However, if you'd like to take the family somewhere where the wildlife may be slightly easier to spot, you'll find a warm welcome at the family-run Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park.

Filey has more than its fair share of history; you can see the remains of a Roman Signal Station at Filey Brigg and pay a visit to Filey Museum to learn about the history and fishing heritage of the area. The museum is housed in a 17th century fishing and farm cottage.

Find fabulous Filey cottages today, and explore the Yorkshire coastline.
