The Old Sweet Shop Ref: CC219008
The Old Sweet Shop is a deceptively  spacious 18th century character cottage quietly located on one of Richmond’s most picturesque cobbled streets at the entry to the Yorkshire Dales. A reconstruction of it when it was a Victorian grocer’s shop (and the birthplace of John Fenwick founder of the department stores that carry his name) can also be seen in the Richmond Museum. A side entrance from the rear hall offers a "short cut" into the town centre, which is particularly handy for the shops.
