Find cottages in WorcestershireVisit Worcestershire

Worcestershire, at the heart of England's countryside, is a beautiful rural region that is ideal for relaxing country cottage holidays and a place that can be enjoyed by families and couples alike.

There are lots of holiday activities and charming places here, from beautiful gardens and animal parks to the birthplace of an iconic car, there's even a theatre in a converted loo!

It's a county best known for its swathes of stunning scenery, but there's also lots of things to do and places to visit too. For a great family day out, the West Midlands Safari and Wildlife Park at Bewdsley is just one of a few animal parks in the area. Or for a relaxing spectacle, Witley Court has fountains timed to come to life each hour of the day as well as a uniquely beautiful Rococo church. A cottage holiday here provides the perfect base for exploring the county on foot, by car or cycle. Or maybe relax aboard a vintage steam or diesel train on the Severn Valley Railway.

Visit Worcester's superb Cathedral, regularly used for services of worship as well as a striking building in its own right. See for yourself why the Snowshill Collection near Worcester is described as “a collection of just about everything” or why people are so flushed with praise for the Theatre of Small Conveniences, in a converted public toilet in Malvern. There's a unique collection of exotic plants as well as a deer park set amid 300 acres of Victorian splendour at Spetchley Park Gardens.

Monkey around at Go Ape High-Wire Forest Adventure in the Wyre Forest! Families will be spoilt for choice when you consider all the other activities on offer like ice-skating, go-karting, kayaking, wind-surfing and much more, and of course there are wonderful walking routes, both challenging and gentle, all around the county.

Take a look at our selection of holiday cottages in Worcestershire to find the one that is just right for you and discover for yourself what a great place it is to visit.

Rose Cottage Ref: NSP

Built as a pair of cottages between 1629-1635, Rose Cottage, adjoining The Old Shop, is a 17th-century, Grade II listed building. In 1842, Charles Keyte, or Schemer Keyte as he was known, brought fame to himself, the village and to Rose Cottage itself, with his invention of what is thought to be one of the earliest sewing machines (now housed in Birmingham Science Museum). Guests will see a link to this historic fact with two antique sewing machines that decorate the living and dining rooms of this holiday cottage. The cottage has its own garden, which offers a quiet space for guests to enjoy an alfresco glass of wine in the most pleasurable of surroundings. Snowshill, which means ’snow on the hill’, is a small settlement which is situated between Broadway, Buckland, Laverton and Stanton. The name is well fitting due to the propensity for snow to linger in the folds of the hill, making for some magnificent scenery in the winter months. The village is an historical one, which links dating as far back as Edward II and Henry VIII. Perfect for walkers, Rose Cottage is the ideal base from which to really explore the magnificent beauty of the Cotswolds, using one of the many public footpaths that lead directly through the village and then onwards into many of the other nearby Cotswold villages and towns. Broadway, a 5-minute drive, is referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’ and has a high street filled with quaint tea shops, galleries, restaurants, pubs and cafes, as well as an outdoor children’s activity area. There is another children’s play area and picnic site in Chipping Campden, a 10-minute drive away. Evesham, Moreton-in-Marsh, Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Norton and Burford area a 30-minute drive. Stratford-upon-Avon is also 30 minutes away, with historical buildings, sites and attractions related to the world-famous William Shakespeare. Within a 45-minute drive, visit Cheltenham Racecourse, historic Warwick, Leamington Spa, Worcester, Tewkesbury and Alcester. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 100 yards.

Beamed living room with wood-burning stove and leather sofas. Cosy beamed dining room with exposed Cotswold stone. Kitchen with electric range (for cooking) and wooden floor. Double bedroom with TV and en-suite shower room with toilet. First floor: Beamed double bedroom with low doorway, TV, exposed Cotswold stone and period features. Twin bedroom.
