An episode of ‘Dr Who’ was filmed here and ‘Easy Company’ was based here during the war. Marlborough, Hungerford and Newbury are within a short drive. The Ridgeway Trail lies on the village boundary as do many footpaths and bridleways. Many visitors come to Wiltshire to see the crop circles and the chalk white horses on the hillsides.
