Find cottages in AldeburghVisit Aldeburgh

Located on the unspoilt Suffolk Heritage Coast, Aldeburgh is a breath of fresh air. With its big open skies, miles of quiet shingle beaches and heath lands, you'll find lots of ways to spend your days here.

Notable town landmarks include the Moot Hall, which houses the town's museum and is a real focal point thanks to its ancient timbers and outside staircase. Head to the top of the Town Steps; built at the end of the 18th Century they link the town with houses at the top of the hill, and have great views that stretch all the way down to the sea.

The town's fishermen still sell their daily catch from huts on the beach, and there's a great selection of pubs and restaurants should you fancy a night off from cooking, including the famous Aldeburgh fish and chip shop, which is located not far from many Aldeburgh cottages.

Just a few miles down the road is The Meare at Thorpeness, where you can spend the day boating on the magical, early 20th century lake with its Peter Pan themed islands. Take the kids to the RSPB's flagship nature reserve at Minsmere, just a short drive away and discover a wide range of wildlife and rare species.

Come and discover a small seaside town with huge charm; search Aldeburgh holiday cottages today.
