The cities compact size and beautiful medieval architecture is what it what makes this city so charming; stroll along the quaint, cobbled streets to Wells Market Place, where you'll discover a twice weekly market selling a range of local goods and souvenirs.

Whether you're staying in Wells or the surrounding area outside the city boundaries, you're perfectly poised to explore the surrounding area - Cheddar Gorge is nearby and the caves of Wookey Hole await; you're also just a short drive from Glastonbury Abbey. They are located just 5 miles from the historical town of Glastonbury, famous for its abbey, tor, music festival and mythical legends. The small city of Wells is 3 miles, with its cathedral, Bishop’s Palace and medieval cobbled street. The Bath and West Showground nearby features many events and exhibitions throughout the year. The Somerset Levels and the Mendip Hills are ideal for cyclists, walkers and nature lovers. There is a chicken coop outside all properties where you can help yourself to fresh eggs.
