Find cottages in MineheadVisit Minehead

The traditional seaside resort town of Minehead is located where the Exmoor National Park meets the north Somerset coast. This makes it a perfect cottage holiday location for sea, sand and stunning moorland countryside.

Nestled on a stretch of glorious coastline and within close proximity of the scenic splendour of Exmoor National Park, Minehead enjoys a prime location. The town is well-known for its wide sandy beach, ensuring the resort is always a popular choice for families. The family theme continues with the Minehead Eye Skate Park where younger members of the family can enjoy skate boarding.

The pretty harbour in Minehead offers an altogether more restful experience. From here, it is possible to take both leisure cruises and fishing trips. The South West Coastal Park starts from the quayside and provides some lovely coastal walks. Blenheim Gardens, the largest park in the town, is another peaceful retreat and has a model village within its grounds.

Away from the seafront, the town of Minehead is a pleasing mix of old and new. Modern-day Minehead is represented by a good selection of high street stores and independent shops, along with many cafes, restaurants and pubs. The more historic areas of the town are typified by thatched roof buildings, narrow streets and the delightful St Michael's Church. Just outside of the town itself, the vast expanse of Exmoor National Park is a huge draw, particularly with walkers and hikers.

Minehead has a host of attractions for all ages and is on the doorstep of the wonderfully scenic Exmoor National Park. For holiday accommodation in this area, search for Minehead holiday cottages today.
