If you love the outdoors, you will be spoilt for choice in Exmoor National Park. The area is rich with wildlife, including rare birds, red deer and the iconic wild Exmoor ponies. There are numerous trails winding over the windswept moors and hills and through pretty woodland, whether you are on foot, on a bicycle or on horseback. There are Iron Age Hillforts to explore and ancient stone bridges dating back to prehistoric times.

The extensive 3½-acre grounds surrounding the mill are a haven of fields, water meadows and delightfully cultivated gardens, with many beautiful and rare shrubs, and is a haven for wildlife of all kinds.
Each of the three charming holiday cottages is well-equipped including all linen and towels. Manor Mill has a secluded heated indoor swimming pool with an outside sun terrace and a stone barbecue, which offers the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon or evening - eating or drinking to the accompaniment of the rippling sound of the River Tone. The children’s play area is a retreat for fun, complete with swings, slides and a miniature fortress. A selection of videos, board games, books and magazines are also available to borrow. The extensive grounds and idyllic surroundings offer a wonderfully relaxing location and a delightful rural retreat.
Manor Mill, located on the Devon border, provides an excellent base for touring the West Country, with easy access to the Quantock Hills, the coast of south Devon and north Somerset and on the edge of the glorious wilderness of Exmoor. It offers a delightful and rural location and a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere - the perfect antidote to everyday living.
A private dining lodge, located in a secluded part of the grounds, is also available for hire. From private celebrations to weddings and children’s parties, the lodge can accommodate up to 20 guests. The resident owners can adapt food, drink and room dressing requirements as requested.

Situated in the heart of Exmoor, very close to the renowned and historic Tarr Step, the ancient clapper bridge that crosses the River Barle, these three holiday cottages at Liscombe Farm (refs 30214, 30215 & 30216), adjacent to the owners’ home, all have their own individual character. With plenty of space around each cottage, guest can enjoy the tranquillity this stunning area of Somerset has to offer. Being located on Exmoor, there is a huge amount of walks to be made without ever having to get in the car. Follow the River Barle up to the pretty village of Withypool or a short car journey away is Exmoor’s highest point at Dunkery Beacon. Dulverton is the nearest town and has a very good selection of shops, restaurants and other amenities. During your stay, there are plenty of places to visit and things to do. Looking towards Minehead, there is the promenade to enjoy walking along with an ice cream, as well as having a good array of shops and other amenities. The West Somerset Railway is worth a visit for those with an interest in steam engines. Minehead is also the starting point of the South West Coastal Path which offers challenging yet very rewarding walks. Visit the Victorian villages of Lynmouth and Lynton, famous for the Watersmeet Gorge (NT), valley of the rocks and famous cliff railway. Nearby Dunster, with its castle (NT) and village, Porlock and Porlock Wier and also Bossington and Selworthy, with its famous tea room, all make for an interesting day out. There are beaches at Dunster and Blue Anchor for all to enjoy. Stabling is available at the farm by prior arrangement with the owner. Shop and restaurant 5 miles, pub 500 yards.

All properties: Woodburner in living room (initial fuel included). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washer/dryer. Dishwasher. Wi-fi. Shared 2 acres of landscaped grounds. Stabling available by arrangement. Natural water supply from spring. Pet free of charge - to be kept on a lead. No smoking. Friday to Friday. NB: Pond in grounds.
