Set on the edge of the Northumberland National Park only a few miles from Rothbury, this cosy holiday cottage is surrounded by stunning scenery. With a lawned garden to the front for relaxing, this is an idyllic location for families or friends. Situated adjacent to the owner’s home, private trout fishing is available on the friendly owner’s stretch of river on the next door farm (rod license needed). Nearby Harbottle has a village pub as does some of the friendly little villages nearby but seven miles away, Rothbury has a fine selection of pubs and tea rooms with an award winning butcher, river walks and children’s play park. Alnwick with the ducal castle, famous for the scenes in Harry Potter, is only a few miles drive. Travel into the National Park on an evening to sample “The Dark Skys”, recently accredited to this area. The cottage is a great location for ramblers, cyclists, fishermen and golfers or those simply wishing to tour the delights of this very special unspoilt county.
