Attached to the main farmhouse, the Bothy dates back to the early 1600’s and has independent and private access. Fully refurbished to an excellent standard the character and charm of this historic property has been retained but now also enjoys the convenience of contemporary living. With solid exposed beams, reclaimed wooden floors and a large wood burning stove set within an impressive Inglenook fireplace, the lounge boasts oodles of period features and is a haven for relaxation. The dining kitchen is a bright and airy space courtesy of French doors which lead to the spacious garden grounds. On the ground floor there is also a cloakroom, utility area and fresh bathroom with stylish free standing roll top bath and separate shower cubicle too. Both bedrooms are on the first floor and immaculately presented.
A friendly greeting regularly awaits visitors to Wooler (known locally as Glendale - the inspiration for ’Postman Pat’s Greendale!) - snuggled at the foot of the wild and heather clad Cheviot Hills. This is a popular destination for those who enjoy cycling, golf, horse riding and walking - the challenging route of the ’St Cuthbert’s Way’ runs close by. There are many facilities available in this lovely small town; all within walking distance of Bridge End Bothy including pubs, a good selection of local shops and award winning restaurants.
Bridge End Bothy is attached to Bridge End Farm (323025) and both can be booked independently or together to accommodate up to 16 guests.
