Find cottages in SheringhamVisit Sheringham

Explore one of Norfolk's most charming coastal towns; Sheringham is proud of its heritage and known as the 'Jewel of the North Norfolk Coast'.

Geographically, Sheringham offers the best of both coast and country and is often described as being sited 'twixt sea and pine'. This means that visitors can enjoy a beautifully varied landscape; relax on sandy beaches, hike the bracken-covered hillsides, walk through woodland, explore rock pools with the kids and watch the waves crashing against the dramatic cliffs.

There no shortage of things to do and see when you choose to take a cottage break here; from the action and adventure of archery and climbing, to the history and heritage of the lifeboat museum, which also has great views from its viewing balcony. Visit the Norfolk Shire Horse Centre, or pay a visit to the lovely Priory Maze and Gardens where there are more than ten acres to explore. Take a trip on the North Norfolk Railway which runs steam trains to Holt; including an immaculately restored 50 year old restaurant and buffet car where attentive staff serve beautifully prepared meals while you enjoy the spectacular views.

In and around town there are a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants catering for all tastes including serving up the freshly caught shellfish that's landed locally, traditional 'pub grub' and a good selection that offer international cuisine. Or of course you can enjoy some seafront fish and chips.

If you're ready to lose yourself 'twixt sea and pine' take a look at our featured Sheringham holiday cottages today.
