Slightly round the coast is Waxham Great Barn, a historic 16th-century building, which has undergone extensive restoration work, with seasonal tea rooms. Located within easy driving distance are the Norfolk Broads, a haven for wild life, where the expanse of waterway is best explored by boat - daily motor launch hire and river trips are available with plenty of riverside restaurants and picnic opportunities.
