The town of Carnforth sits on the border between Lancashire and Cumbria, and is surrounded by picturesque AONB countryside. It is also close to the sweeping sands and breathtaking cliff paths of Morecambe Bay. The Lancaster Canal, a wildlife haven, runs through Carnforth and is a paradise for walking, cycling and pleasure cruising. There are many circular walks and in the summer, a waterbus service. Carnforth train station is a 6-minute walk, with a regular service to the Lakes, Yorkshire Dales and Lancaster. A supermarket and the village centre are a 3-minute walk away and the nearest pub a 2-minute walk. The nearest beach in Morecambe is a 10-minute drive, Kendal is 20 minutes and Windermere 30 minutes.
